WHRO is a non-profit public media enterprise. We’ve served the people of Hampton Roads for more than 50 years. We’re dedicated to engaging the citizens and enhancing the lives of everyone in our community. You may know us by our legacy television and radio stations:
- WHRO TV15 - Excellent PBS programs and local documentaries
- WHRO 90.3 FM - Classical music and fine arts programming
- WHRV 89.5 FM - NPR programs like Morning Edition and All Things Considered; alternative jazz and folk music; HearSay with Cathy Lewis and Another View hosted by Barbara Hamm Lee
We are not a school, but we provide education. We are not a social service agency, but we improve lives. We are not a museum, symphony orchestra or theatre, but WHRO provides arts, culture and strong connections to the past. To do this, we work with other organizations – many of them in our own community – that use our broadcast and outreach expertise to extend their work.
We survive and thrive and provide all these services thanks to charitable support. Please consider us when donating a vehicle!
